DVDs with no chapters?

Do they exist?

On a side note, I'm curious about what to expect when I buy the NYPD Blue and Alias Season 1 sets. Do TV box sets have chapters in each episode? Or only between episodes?

Thanks.

A better question may have been non-David Lynch discs with no chapters, as i think he's the main culprit.

Some TV shows have chapter stops within each episode, and others don't.

NYPD Blue does, according to this review, which mentions "Scene Selection" as one of the menu options.

I'm surprised we even received a DVD from Lynch. I considered myself lucky when I did.

Thanks!

Mulholland Drive? Never saw it, but thought about it. It has no chapters at all? Did the director do that to force viewrs to watch it in its entirety?

I think Lynch must have done that on purpose for Mulholland drive.... there is one spot that should have a chapter for quick access tho!

I believe the reasoning for this was that Lynch felt that movies aren't like books with chapters, so they shouldn't have them on the DVD.

I'll echo 24 and David Lynch's DVD as stated above. Besides that, The Hire DVD also have no chapter stop. Of course, it's not a feature presentation.

Yup,

I've got a cr*ppy release of Peter Jackson's Meet the Feebles released by 'Dead Alive' that hasn't got any chapters.

It also has some trailers for some of the worst movies I think have ever been made (well, judging from the trailers anyway) like Camp Blood, Camp Blood 2, Camp Blood 3. Camp Blood...

Well it seamed like they went on forever.

That so called release of Final Countdown had no chapter stops. Of course it also had no video or sound quality, extras, or even a reason to purchase it so most people didn't notice.

If I remember correctly, The Message and possibly Lion of the Desert do not have chapter stops.

Maybe someone can confirm. I only have Lion of the Desert but can confirm later.

IIRC, Zemeckis put out Gump on LD with no chapter stops and wanted to do the same for the dvd, but the studio said no. I believe this was the reason for the long delay of its release.

Slightly off-topic I guess.

NYPD Blue has cool chapter stops. I HOPE Season 2 of 24 throws those in. I despise David Lynch DVDs because of his pretentious "not a book" crap; just wish I didn't like his movies so )(!@#* much...

Destroy All Monsters... no menu, no chapter stops, nada.

Still, nice looking DVD for a bunch of guys running around in rubber monster suits.

The 50's sci fi Kronos has no chapter stops which makes it hard to visit your favorite scenes.

The 1950's version of "The Blob".

Fun old movie, but the worse Video quality of all the DVDs I have. Looks worse than a VHS copy.
