So does a commentary to LA Story exist?
I repurchased this dvd the other day (my own personal favorite Steve Martin film) because the back cover of the case noted that it had a director's commentary. However I was unable to find the commentary at all on the DVD. Is there a commentary available for this DVD is it just a case of mis-labeling?

LA Story needs a better Special Edition. There are a lot of deleted scenes to this movie, some of which can be seen in the trailer. John Lithgow was in the film as was completely cut out. I want my deleted scenes!

Yeah, I remember seeing the John Lithgow scene way back when on TV (HBO, Showtime, etc.). I'd love a commentary from Martin since this is one of the few movies where he performed screenwriting duties. Such a great, great movie.

...for those interested... I know this is only slightly related but Steve Martin will be bringing his play, Picasso and the Lapin Agile, to the big screen. Accroding to the imdb it will star Kevin Kline, Ryan Phillippe, Juliette Binoche and of course Steve Martin.
...so for us Steve Martin fans who love L.A. Story, there's something more to look forward to besides fluff like Bringing Down the House.
If you haven't read or seen this play, I encourage you to pick up a copy. Great, funny stuff. I saw the play five or six years ago and loved every minute.
....to make this post more thread oriented, I'd love to see those scenes deleted from L.A. Story.... c'mon Steve!
