B5 S2- No more floaters

Don't worry about purchasing this online. I just got my copy from Amazon.ca and it appears they fixed the floater problem from the first season.

I suspect they got a lot of returns as "defective".

My S2 has loose, scratched disc *again*

If by "floaters" you mean loose discs, then I say that's not correct. I got mine today and *again* it had a loose disc and *again* that disc is scratched. (It remains to be seen whether it will play or not, but given its appearance, I don't think it will since it looks about teh same as the disc from set 1 that was scratched.)

WHV needs to use a different, more secure system for these box sets, which are in every other way outstanding. But I'm afraid I will have to send one of the discs in this set back yet again.

Would you care to elaborate? You receiving a good set leads me to the conclusion that you got a good set, not that the problem has been fixed. I haven't compared my S1 and S2 set very closely, but at first glance the packaging appears the same.

I'd love to order future sets online, but until something changes, it's worth the extra $20 to me to just zip over to Costco and hand select my sets.

From the look of the case it appears the spindles hold the discs a bit tighter than season 1.

Sorry if I offended those who got floaters.

I had three when I received season one in the mail. I had none this go 'round.

Just my personal experience...

I bought mine at Best Buy, and I have one floater (disc 6). No scratches, though.

Had 2 floaters in my first season 1 set (also had the disc 2 with disc 4 information problem)

None this time around with season 2, both from amazon.ca.
In fact, it was a little tough to get the disc off the spindle (but that's a problem I'll gladly accept over the floater issue)

You folks are luckier than me... I have one disc from Season 2 going back, just like with Season 1.

My S2 has spindles that really hold the discs tightly (they were quite hard to get off). It was a big difference from S1 which has loose spindles. No floaters this time for me (like edclem, I got my S2 from Amazon.ca).

Another person with no floaters from amazon.ca. Like lizard said, the difference in the spindles is very noticeable. Side note, I ordered this and some other titles with expedited shipping on Monday and received my package this afternoon...three days isn't too bad.

Still waiting on my order from Amazon.ca. They supposedly shipped it last Tuesday, and I have nothing yet. Grr!

Watched "Chrysalis" last night to prepare though...

Just got an email from DDD. It seems this time I have to return the entire box set (last time it was just return the scratched disc). DDD said the studio requires that they return the entire box.

Honestly, this is the kind of thing that will make me not buy discs online anymore.

Very annoyed.

Got mine from Amazon.ca a few days ago. No floaters, it's a beautiful thing.

Got mine from a local B&M. Season one had two floaters, season two had zero. The spindles do appear to hold on a little tighter.
