I'm hoping for a different transfer on this film. I have the barebones right now, and it is in dire need of an updated video transfer. I haven't heard any news on it for awhile though.

People keep asking, but there's been no solid news as long as I can remember.

Was there not a loaded laserdisc on this? And am I crazy in thinking it may have even been a Criterion release?

Is it really that hard to put a '?' in the thread title?

Looks like they could just port most of the special features straight from the LD and just do a new anamorphic video transfer and a good DD5.1 track. I'd buy it

Me too! But to make it really special, I'd like a newly recorded commentary plus a heap of new features--that way I have an archive of the laser and some new SE material. Sigh!

Yeah, well.

At least it doesn't say "Brad Pitt's Se7en" as some ads did during the theatrical run...

Gee, I thought Morgan Freeman was the star of that film.

Oh how happy I'd be if someone, anyone would release an SE of The Game. But alas, I wait since I can't bring myself to buy the current edition.

I remember a few years ago I had a few near misses on this...was it RandyC's ld website someone bought it near seconds before me? Or was it someone elses? Can't remember....A few auctions that went through the roof and one seller or tried to sell it to me before setting off to auction but I refused because I thought his price was too steep---I should have bought it because it was quite reasonable compared to the eventual ending price of his auction.

This is one of my projects when I get my brand new computer tomorrow. I'm gonna back up my Criterion version by ripping the video from the dvd and recording the audio from the criterion commentary. Then port over all the other goodies and extras.

LOVE the Criterion artwork though. Just may have to use that instead.
