I just got an email from dvdempire saying that my preorder was delayed until 6-10! Anyone else hear this!?

No, haven't heard anything relating to this yet but it wouldn't suprise me as Criterion may try to include some kind of Stan Brakhage tribute (other than the films included, obviously!) in relation to his very recent and unfortunate death.

I placed an order for this earlier today at Amazon.com. While the site still listed May 6 as the release date, my "estimated shipping date" is June 12. I've already sent an e-mail about this to Criterion's Jon Mulvaney, but it does look like the set is indeed delayed.

The Criterion website (criterionco.com) confirmed this morning that by Brakhage will be released on 5/6/2003. No worries.

How exactly did they confirm this? I don't see any notice on the web site. Sure, the release is still listed as 5/6/03, but that could just mean they haven't updated the info yet.

Amazon has now changed their release date to 6/10.

Yep, Criterionco.com has posted the change today as well. Bummer but it helps my wallet from suffering more next month.

Will not so much help my 'wallet from suffering' but allow me to buy another DVD in it's place
