Twelve Monkeys - Ultimate Edition??

Is Universal totally ditching their Ultimate Editions? I haven't seen a new one in forever. 12 Monkeys was supposed to come last year and I haven't heard anything about. Anybody got some info?

I wish. I traded my DTS edition in expectation of this eventual release.

This title was only rumored, never announced.

i dont see any reason for universal to rerelease 12 monkeys. The extras on the current disc are really good and i dont think they could put much more on it since the commentary and the documentary covers basically everything.

Absolutely RIGHT!

The DVD has a great anamorphic transfer. The commentary is great. Plus we get the trailer, (one of the best ever made), and one of the most extensive and well-made documentaries about the making of a film ever. No reason to re-release it, until we get true HD, 1080i transfers.....

It would be nice to have the "La Jetee" short in the same package. I know it's already available on the "Short 2" DVD. But if you're going to make another release and call it the Ultimate Edition, you have to include the short film that inspired the movie.

I can't find the thread that originally started this, but I believe that was the idea. To take the great stuff from the DD disk, have DTS available for the movie, and have extras of the DD disk and the short included in one package.

This one is fine as is - I'm sure each of us could come up with dozens (if not hundreds) of titles more in need of a new edition.

I agree that there shouldn't be a re-release until a 1080i transfer is made but I take issue with the current disc being a great transfer. There is a lot of artifacting in dark places that is pretty noticeable.

Anyone else notice this??
