Which Limited Edition DVDs are Numbered?

The following thread has a list of Limited Edition (region 1) DVDs, but it doesn't say which ones are numbered.

Limited Edition DVDs (region 1)

The only one I have is Repo Man LE which is numbered.

From that list:

All of the WD Treasure tins
All of the Anchor Bay tins
Army of Darkness LE 2-disc
Bad Taste LE
Candy LE
Django/Django Strikes Again LE
Halloween LE 2-disc
Manhunter LE
Night of the Living Dead LE
Opera
The Stunt Man LE
Supergirl
Wicker Man LE Wood Box
Amazon's Akira Kurosawa DVD collection
Coffin Joe trilogy
Educational Archives: Limited Edition Lunchbox

I think that's all of 'em. I'm not sure about the Dario Argento stuff from Anchor Bay, but I don't think any of those have #s.

Suspiria is numbered (out of 60,000), but I don't think the rest of them are.

bboisvert, is your Django/Django Strikes Again AB disc numbered? Mine is not. The Argento Collection discs(5000 ea.), Blood from the Mummy's Tomb and Scars of Dracula(10000) are not numbered. Also, the Beyond, Repoman, Two-Lane Blacktop and Let Sleeping Corpses Lie tins are numbered.

A.Bay not numbered:

Django/Django Strikes Again ( new versions out soon though)
Mummy's Tomb only limited w/extra dvd
Scars of Dracula only limited w/extra dvd
House 1&2
Best Buy Halloween Extended dvd w/film cell (if you want to consider it limited still.

The 3 Argento sets are not numbered as T.Bickle mentioned. However it is surprising that Anchor Bay chose to call them limited and missed putting that banner on the 3 Fulci sets. Damn their marketing team. J/K

Also, pretty rare is the Hammer trailer dvd AB put out, came with the limited mummy's tomb, but has it's own artwork and case. It's not even listed on their website's product codes....that I see.

There are some Anime Box sets that I believe are numbered: Cowboy Bebop, Escaflowne TV series, .hack//SIGN, etc.

About the three Argento sets:

Did they only print 5000 each or did they keep printing them and drop the "limited edition banner" on the cover?

I haven't seen an Argento Collection without a Limited Edition banner, but it would explain why they're so plentiful. It's possible all the Argentophiles picked up the seperate editions before the limited 2 packs were released, but you'd think they could move 5000 units within a couple years, at least the Tenebre/Deep Red release. It's never concerned me enough to email Anchor Bay(unlikely they'd give a straight answer anyway), but every time a thread comes up about LE's I get to wondering.

This is why I was curious. They have all been out in the two pack for quite some time now. If I can't find the limited to '4000' Maniac tin how can these still be out there?

Yes - Cowboy Bebop Perfect Sessions IS numbered - my number is #4516, but HOW many are there??? If there are a million then a number doesn't make much difference, it will never be very valuable anyway! BUT - if there are only 5,000 then I can expect it to someday be valuable - maybe. Fact is that you can now buy it used for $39.99, so that's why I say "SOMEDAY be valuable"

There were only 5-10K. If you're seeing it for $39.99, let me know and I'll buy a dozen of them. Instead, I believe what you are seeing is the bootleg version that always gets advertised under the PS's ISBN at places like amazon and half.com.

Edit: I just noticed you are in Tokyo. Is there a fat stash of the region 1 box sets over there? If so, you could make a killing ....

There were 10,000 Cowboy Bebop Perfect Sessions, and they may have printed another 1-5,000. I have heard of someone on this forum getting # 11,XXX.

Two Evil Eyes was released today in a LE numbered set.
