I have all 4.

They are all the same price.

I'd say the 2 disc 8 1/2 is the most bang for your buck

But Black Narcissus and Wild Strawberrys are better films

The Blob is great, but not a must have like the others.

Get Black Narcissus, it has the first ever director commentary.

Black Narcissus

This is a fantastic film in the presentation of Technicolor and is a great buy. The documentary on the Technicolor development of the film is great. One scene alone I play over and over again because of the strength of the image alone. I don't mention it because it is a major plot point. But the powereful use of color here is precedent setting and Oscar award winning.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the Laserdisc of King Kong have the first ever commentary?

Back to the topic, if it was me, I'd get The Blob.

Both 8 1/2 and Wild Strawberries are in my all-time top 20 list.

If I had to chose between those two, I'd go with 8 1/2.
and as much as I love sci-fi/horror, I say start with Bergman films....like both.

You're right, but Black Narcissus had the first ever director's commentary.
