About two months last summer. It wasn't bad, though, because I was having fun without even a radio.

About four months last winter. I was busy with school and didn't have to watch DVD's let alone watch them. I've more than made up for it since, though.

I went a year without buying a dvd from January 2001 to february 2002.

Coincedentally I stayed away from dvdtalk most of that time, this site makes spending money too easy.

I will usually buy something at least once a week. So, I would say probably I've gone 2 weeks w/o buying a DVD.

I went about four months without buying a DVD at ALL, and for a month or two both before and after that only buying one or two titles.

Unemployed, no money, etc. It was rough.

I spent more time catching up on commentary tracks and features that I'd already bought and never watched.

Now I have a backlog of new discs and extras to watch. I could probably go three months and still have things to see.

Not that I'm going to be holding off on new DVDs for three months.

12 Months ... from April '01 through March '02 I had absolutely no interest in purchasing or watching a DVD. I was sick of movies in general.

Maybe 3-4 weeks at the longest at one time... sometimes I feel like I have to buy one, even if its a bargin bin or blind buy.

Man, I need to buy one right now... I haven't ordered anything yet today...

Just kidding. But obviously a lot of us on here have a problem.

Maybe someone should start a 12-step programme for DVD Addicts.

DVD Anonymous - One disc at a time.

I was thinking that very thing a little while ago, but then got my fix by pre-ordering that 3 disc import of The Pianist.

really, it's only a problem if you allow it to be a problem. spending $ on building my film library is fun, educating and worth every penny. and if the format is not dvd...then I'll buy another. it's all in the film for me....and dvd is really the only current option I have.

Started buying DVDs in 99, and the longest stretch I went without buying any was 3 months 21 days (3/7/2002 - 6/26/2002). Probably because that was the end of my last semester at college, and I was pretty much broke.

3 years, thats a new record, huh
in 2000 is when I could buy whatever I wanted, I inherited some money, quit my job and haven't one since (not counting birthdays, where I get money from my relatives)
but I have been looking for a job, it sucks. As soon as I get a job,I am going DVD crazy
