I've never seen an Academy Awards acceptance speech on a DVD, so that would be a neat addition. At the very least they could include some featurette by Moore about the event.

Of course, that's assuming that the discs haven't already been pressed and are sitting in a warehouse with the ark of the covenant, the original star wars trilogy, and the lost reel from ambersons...

P.S. No, there's no new 13 May release date yet.

I believe The Godfather Collection had Francis Ford Coppola's acceptance speeches!

However one feels about the speech, it is now a part of the film's mythology.
Serious Answer: I believe that they could only include the speech on the disc if they acquired permission from the Acadamy since the broadcast is © and ™ the Acacemy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences, however that might be a relitivly simple matter of paying a licence fee based on the number of discs to be manufactured. I know that other discs have done this in the past.

It did, and there was at least one on WB's Wizard of OZ SE DVD, and I believe a couple others also include Oscar acceptance speeches as extras.

I guess I'll have to drag out that fourth disc in the Godfather collection and finally watch something other than the deleted scenes.
