Old School coming June 10th!

From www.upcomingdiscs.com

Old School: This outrageous Will Farrell/Vince Vaughn comedy will be released by DreamWorks on June 10th. You will be able to choose between two version son this discs... a standard R-rated version or an uncut and unrated "Out of Control" version containing an additional two minutes of never-before-seen footage. The unrated version will come in separate 2.35:1 anamorphic widescreen and full frame transfers, each featuring English and Spanish Dolby Digital 5.1 audio. The R-rated version will only be available in full frame transfer. Extras will include a blooper reel, deleted scenes, "Will Ferrell: Inside the Actor's Studio" skit, footage from the film's premiere, Fantasy Wrestling, a Snoop Dogg music video and trailers.

I'm glad to get an uncut/unrated version (ala Van Wilder), but why release the R-Rated cut only in full frame? Do they think that the people who want the "tamer" version don't care about framing?

I was wondering about this too. Seems very odd. Guess I'll "have" to buy the unrated version then, to stick with the OAR, of course...

Very cool. I missed this one in theaters, byt an a huge Will Ferrell fan. Seems like a quick turn-around from theaters to dvd though. This was out the same time as Daredevil so maybe an announcement of a Daredevil dvd is not too far off.

I am glad to see that they are doing this DVD this way. I can understand the Widescreen in uncut and Fullframe in Rated, cause enthusiest like us know we are going to get the widescreen, and not many people buy the standard R rated one, the ones that do are usually parents that would buy full frame only. This was a really funny movie. I was hoping for a commentary with the three main guys, but oh well

edit: Yeah, I cant spell, I know

This will end up being one of my most watched DVDs EVER!

But I'm pretty sure the 2 minutes of uncut footage will just be more Farrell butt.

Maybe releasing it with more stuff in widescreen, people who don't realize the advantages of widescreen will finally understand that they get more(picture, and now extras) with wide.

It sounds like the R-rated version is just a contractual obligation to make sure the movie gets carried in Blockbuster. It seems to me that anyone actually interested in buying this would go for the unrated version automatically.

ahaha. I feel sorry for the fool-screeners...no wait...no I don't.

I think studios should start releasing fool-screen versions as bare-bones.

*sigh*

Added "Old School" here on March 19th! Funny how nobody has mentioned "Biker Boyz" and it's from the same company (Dreamworks)...

I wish these other sites would get with it!

I agree, the unrated thing is getting to be a bit much...

Nice,.. I was hoping this would come in time for some summer drunken fun.

I agree with Sessa17. Will be one of the most watched.

Will be added to my "drunken party list" of: HalfBaked, Life of Brian, Office Space, etc.

This movie was hilarious, so it's a no-brainer for me. I also love Will Ferrell, so I will be picking up the unrated edition in June. Now I'm just waiting for my Office Space SE...
