MGM released the first one, but a studio named Avid released the sequel on video.

According to IMDb, Fox is the major studio distributor, but they don't seem to be the ones responsible for the video release. IMDb has the same info listed for the original, so I'd guess MGM has DVD rights to Mannequin 2 as well.

I just bought the old LD for $6 and the distributor on that was Live (now Artisan I believe) if it helps.

Live Entertainment released it to VHS and LD. Then Avid released a bunch of Live Entertainment titles to VHS (mostly found in the bargin bins at supermarkets). Then of course, Artisan took over Live Entertainment, so Artisan now owns the rights to the sequel.

Frankly this deserves a loaded special edition if only to highlight Mescach Taylor's Academy Award-nominated turn as "Hollywood," one of the finer performances of our time IMHO.

Note after surfing around a bit: I cannot believe this is listed in the IMDB's bottom movies of all time list! (#33) What kind of world are we living in?

The kind of world that can't get beyond the idea of Martin Short playing a 10-year-old!

I'll give M2 a boost - there are far worse movies out there.

For instance, this one...
