Are there 2 versions of gladiator?
Amazon says it is a 2 disc set whereas CH has it as a single disc
can any one explain this pleese

There is only one version available - the two-disc set. Buy it.

Could it be that the one-disc version is actually the Boxing movie with Cuba Gooding Jr. titled "Gladiator"?

Dunno about their mailers, but a Gladiator search at their website only listed the Ridley Scott one, not the Cuba Gooding version. I noticed no mention of it being a single-disc set, so I don't know where the original poster saw that. In any case, it's definitely correct that only one DVD edition of the Ridley Scott Gladiator exists, and it has two discs...
