I order this film yesterday, and I have heard ambiguous critique about Insomnia. I have heard some people say things such as it is a brilliant cop film to it is a slow attempt to make a serious cop movie. What is your perception of this film, and/or am I making a mistake in getting it? Thank you all in advance for invaluable information.

Watch it now before the english version is released - I love the moody tone of this film. The director of memento is in charge of the one in production now, Christopher Nolan, with Al Pacino,Hilary Swank and Robin Williams(?) starring. Could be better than the usual english language remakes.
