What's the DVD like?

I'd also like to get personal opinions on Ronin!

Ronin has a great anamorphic transfer on one side and a full screen transfer on the other side. I think it has English 5.1 and a French 5.1 audio tracks, an informative commentary track by John Frankenheimer and an alternate ending scene. A top-notch movie and disc all around.

I just got home and looked at my disc. The above info is accurate. The disc is silver on both sides with no artwork.

better get the Code 2 version as code 1 is a flipper.
code 2 has a making-of: Filming in the fast lane while code doesn't have.
i sold my code 1 version and bought code 2.
the top of the disc also has an artwork.

Man, unfortanetly.. I'm in Region 1

What happens when you put a Region 2 disc in a Region 1 Player anyway?

The player implodes. Just kidding, I just think it won't work unless your player is chipped to all regions. Or, obviously, you have a region 2 player or a region free player.

flipper??? It's been awhile since I've looked at it but I believe the sense inwhich it is a flipper is that the WS version is on one side and the P&S version is on the other. Atleast I don't remember ever flipping the DVD during the course of the movie. Anyway I would just get the R1 version, unless you already have the regionless/R2 player.

ooppss... thanks for the correction. i got confused, (i was thinking of comparison of Das Boot Code 1 and Code 2).
RONIN is not a flipper but a Double Layer 2-sided disc, and Code 2 is a Double Layer Single-sided disc.
