...since renting a DVD is not an option where I live, I may decide to buy the disc ... but that said, and having seen this on the 'big screen' my advice is: rent it - then, if you think you may want to watch it more than just a couple of times at best, buy it...

Despite a great cast, the film is boring - it's a soap opera with a gimmick. However, as pure dvd goes - there are a lot of features on this one. There are 2 versions of the film (actual 2 separate filmings) and other extras. I did buy it so I could study the concept, but after watching it once I haven't got around to it yet.

I bought it, but I am still in question whether it is a good or bad movie in the sense of art. But as a theme and plot counting it is fairly silly, you can see this on the daily soaps.

Rent it. I bought it and it was very boring and had no rewatacbility factor. Sold my copy. Even Selma Hyack as a lesbian could not save this film

I bought this disc and have watched the film, in different versions, 4 or 5 times. Yes, it is a little like a soap-opera, but keep in mind that all of it except for major plot points were completely improvised. I know how hard it is to improvise even for a small amount of time, let alone for an hour and a half. Plus, the disc is packed with extras. But the music sucks.

It's got great "replay" value.

I ended up renting Timecode. I am glad I did. It is a interesting and creative film. Very original. It is definatley worth a rent. I am glad I didn't buy, only because it doesn't have much replay value. Thank you for all the responses.
