Difficult choice, when I was that age I saw The Thing for the first time ( gave me nightmares for a week, so I wouldnt recommend that one

)

Something Wicked This Way Comes is a good choice, as would be any of the Universal Horror movies like The Werewolf, Dracula, etc.

I saw Psycho when I was 7 and it freaked me out completely, but I loved it, too.

THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE! My 3 year old cousin loved it, though probably because he wasn't understanding a bit.
Seriously though, Poltergeist is quite good
