reviews on the net have been mixed. just wondering what anyone else thought of it...and hows the transfer?

I liked it. It's not a great movie though.

I watched it many years ago, and it was humorous, and much better than I thought it was going to be. Watching Renee Zellweger is always a treat as well.

Story line is a bit convoluted and unsophisticated, and it's very likely that you may not like it. It's not really like anything else.

While I cannot speak to the quality of the DVD (as I have not watched it), the flick is great. I love this type of movie, it is over the top but it's suppose to be.

IMO the film is great. It has a unique style with 'interesting' characters. It also has a kick-a@# soundtrack to go along. The DVD presentation has its ups and downs though.

Worth a look!

i picked it up from the store last week but still haven't watched it. i was debating whether or not to return it and get something else. the soundtrack looked like a big plus (as did the great shot of Renee on the back cover). i'm still up in the air though. i'm starting to burn out on buying titles sight unseen. the last few have been disappoinments and it's starting to add up. imight end up renting it on vhs tonight (although BB sucks the big one, they have a 30 days/30 rentals (vhs) for $8 -not bad)
