expect a great DVD!
if HKL failes in one thing, than it was in disappointing the fans and their expectations!

But - and I don't want to start an argument here, but I've noticed in other Region-related threads here and in other forums, these type of discussions don't seem to go by without someone getting in a needless dig at NTSC, or region 1.

hm I hope you donīt refer to me!
Otherwise , Iīm forced (
) to explain that nothing of that what I said about NTSC/PAL was ment in a bad way.De facto , I would never say anything against RC1 because 99% of my collection ARE RC1!
And with PAL/NTSC it was just ment as another pro HKL-argument.
Those little words( "superior" etc...) where just jokes...

Why am I doing this while I could play DOOM?

Hi Ronald!
I must admit, I did wonder about the tone of your comments. I am glad to hear the way you intended them - sorry for doubting you!
As I love HK cinema, HKL could be the first reason for me actually to wish I had R2 playback. I hope you will treat us to a review when you get your copy!

Just backing up ronald's opinion on Hong Kong Legends releases. They (under their parent company's label) released the most complete version of DRIVE (maybe you can find a topic on the different versions if you do a search). After having watched their "Big Boss" release, i've decided to skip the columbia release (although they've been doing a good job with Gen-X cops, Gorgeos etc.) and I'm going to buy everything they bring out! They're serious and I DON'T work for them! Check out their up-coming releases

no problem! I guess its my fault using the wrong words the wrong way ( english is only my second language, and I still live in Gemany...)
So Iīm glad that I got the chance to "re-intend" my words!

Actually , its supposed to be able to modify your DVD player to play region code 2 titles.
Thatīs what done to most players over here in Europe!( you guys just got more better DVDs).But after that, donīt forget, you still need a TV capable of displaying PAL, if possible WITHOUT downconverting it to NTSC.
(sorry, if you know this already
).And about the review:
Get in line !
I promised a lot reviews to a lot people about this disc...
No seriously , I will definetly post my impressions as quick as possible!
The DVD is going to be released on January the 22. , so I will hold it in my hands ,hm I guess(hope) , on the 26. .
Lookout for some info then!
