Netflix sent The way of the Gun to my brother over the weekend. Don't know why they shipped it before the official release date, but who's complaining.
Watched it last night amd was disappointed. There were so many plot twists that I got a headache trying to process all of them and eventually began to expect and predict them. There was a good story, just way too much of it for one movie. It was story driven, at the expense of character development and seemed to me like a modern day spaghetti western with a Wild Bunch ending. Sounds like a cool concept, and it is, but the director was over ambitious and tried to include way too much. Don't get me wrong, the story is easy to follow, just very dense. Some editing of the story and its pace would have helped immensely. James Caan was good and the actors in general did a fine job. All in all, a movie with many cool scenes, but pretty much forgettable after first viewing.

Actually I found all the "secret relationships" pretty predictable (maybe because I was on heightened alert since I knew I was watching a movie written by McQuarrie (also wrote The Usual Suspects screenplay).
