The Game has excellent video with great black level, but it's non-anamorphic. The 5.1 soundtrack is terrific. I'd give it ***** and ***** out of ***** (although you might lose some resolution on a 16:9). Lebowski looks and sounds great as well with vibrant colours and very good sound (the music sounds particularly good). Both transfers are great, but even if they weren't, they'd still be must have DVDs. Pick them both up.

As I understand it, The Game is being rereleased by Fincher with a 16x9 transfer and extras, and apparantly pretty soon.

I bought both recently when the price reduction hit. In terms of extras, Big Lebowski is the better disc, but both are worth having. If The Game special edition takes as long as the one they are doing for Se7en, I suspect that by then it will be out in HD-DVD
