I love DVDs and independent film, so the combination of these two forces makes me excited. Therefore I was very disappointed with the reviews that have been placed on DVDtalk by the staff. There has been one reviewer in particular that has given bad reviews to films like Beautiful Girls, Before Sunrise, Fusion One, and Stranger Than Paradise. Yet this same reviewer gives great reviews to Terminator 2, Erin Brockovich, and Naked Gun 33 1/3. Does this seem to be fair that the quality of the DVD is based upon how many explosions and breasts are seen? It was my understanding that DVDtalk was to be a fair forum for quality DVDs. I had no idea that the quality of DVDs were based upon the wheels of Hollywood and box office draw. Please respond and let me know if this also angers you or if you don't really care about the films that are changing the politics in Hollywood.
