I'm still watching my VHS copy. Reason? Director's Cut. I very much prefer the longer cut of the film. I'm sure a lot of folks here will tell you the theatrical cut is better. To each their own. The director's cut is OOP, last I checked, but I seem to remember something on Rutger's thread about a re-release in 2001. I don't recall if that was the director's or the theatrical cut. Anyone?

The director's cut is out of print, but I don't know if I would buy it anyqays since it was a flipper. However, if the upcoming version is not the director's cut, I may just buy the 20th Anniversary Edition (Theatrical Version).
I am presently interested in this one because I am going to a convention this weekend in Cleveland, Ohio and the cast will be there!!
