I heard that the DTS version was not all that great as compared to the DD... since I have not ordered it (college student = procrastinator), I was curious if anyone could shed some light on the subject... thanks

I think you might have to wait a few more days as it is not being released until next week. The earliest people are likely to get it is this coming weekend.

I thought the picture of both versions looked the same, and that the DTS sound offered slightly better bass response and presented a marginally improved/broader soundfield. Really, it's a toss-up between the two; I prefer the DTS one, but not by much...

I have full reviews of both editions at http://www.dvdmg.com

The Men in Black DTS DVD not only sounds great, but looks awesome as well. This DVD overall sounded equal if not better then the T2 DTS sound mix. With that said and the large amount of supplements, I say go with the DTS version if you have the hardware to utilize it.

I watched my MiB DTS earlier today and thought it looked and sounded great! No artifacting or yellow tint.

I'm waiting on my MIB DTS.
It was free so I'll wait and be happy.
Amazon is sooooo damn slow! ....and it better not arrive in a big a$$ box. I do not want to make another trip to the post office!

..not even an e-mail confirmation yet

I think DTS version is one of the best DTS DVD ever made. It might be the DVD to show off your system.

Enjoy...
