Eddie Murphy and Lawrence was da-bomb! What great chemistry! I thought the movie was all about laughs but I was wrong! The plot was awesome. And I had a tear in my eye. Man..it was sad what happened to them. 
I won't give it away. But remember this movie was never meant to be all about laughs..and that's what idiotic reviewers probably thought, laughs throughout the whole movie. I mean I know..Eddie and Lawrence are comedians..and in almost all their movies it's all about jokes and laughs, but this movie is different in that sense. It tries to send a message across. Man..if you haven't enjoyed a movie in a while and need to check one out with your wife, girl, family, or whoever, or yourself, please immediately pick this one up! It's not everyday that two great comedians of our time teams up like this. The transfer is awesome. Sharp. The sound is crystal clear. The beginning music is awesome. The extra features are awesome. The movie is AWESOME!

I know your style kid...you're like me. We both admire Martin Lawrence! In this movie I was more anticipated about watching Martin's performance instead of Eddie's, but since they're both together..what the heck! Double the enjoyment! The question is Needlz buddy...what is Blue Streaks going to do to use huh??

I'm feelin' the vibes, baby!!! Martin is off the hook and everyone that saw "Blue Streak" said it was hella funny. It's a Columbia/Tri-Star release, so you know they will give us a nice DVD!!!

Pass the Gonja before you start the "bumrush" because this movie was just lame. How can anyone review a movie and put the words Lawrence,Murphy and Acting in the same sentence. I laughed once during the pissy sheets thing, but that could be because my wife spilled pop on her at the same time. The same people that laugh at this, crack ass over the pig in the mud joke. My recomendation----- Rent raw, and then pick up a copy of Martin Lawrence talking Shit go into a room turn the volume down on the raw, turn it up on the Lawrence and have a real good time laughing at Martins jokes and eddies clothes.......

Maybe you guys were expecting a bag full of huge laughs? Well you got fooled. The movie was not meant to be like that, but meant to have a great story (which it did) and some good laughs. A movie that everyone could enjoy. I'm sure ya like the def comedy jam stuff with all the cursing and dirty jokes but sometimes friends you have to give that a rest.

Don't believe the hype!!! I've never believed people when they said "That movie was so bad I left the theater", but this movie had me almost to that point. I watched this piece of crap until the end, and it really has no redeeming qualities. I thought "Eddie Murphy and Martin Lawrence, how can it get any better than this". Boy was I wrong... The only thing that would make the DVD worthwhile is if one of the extras on the disc is a brand new movie starring these 2 that doesn't suck...

I just watched Life last night and I thought it was a great movie and a great DVD disk with lots of extras. I think people were expecting the movie to be constant laughs, but it's not that kind of movie. It's actually dealing with a sad subject that isn't funny. I thought the acting was great (especially Martin) and I give it two thumbs up and will definitely watch it again.

Your thoughts on the movie are identical to mine. People thought that this movie was all about laughs (Like Raw, Coming To America type only laughter all the way movie) NOT! It has a great story and a plot in which I'm sure many of us human beings have fallen under that situation.

I haven't seen this movie yet.
BUT, i do remember vividly how it was marketed. I do remember seeing the trailer in a crowded theater and remember how alot of people were laughing and whispering "ooh i gotta see that!"
The movie failed because it was marketed wrong. It portrayed a comedy, starring two comedians, with a upbeat hip-hop soundtrack playing.
That in my opinion is what left a sour taste in everyone's mouth.
Does it suck?

Will I see it?

I remember when I saw this in the theater. There were a lot of black people and a few whites. I was getting a little scared when the racist parts came up with the pies. Overall the movie was hilarious. One movie I have watched several times.
