Yes, I thought it was wonderful when I rented it and purchased it almost immediately afterwards. Very light on extras for a Criterion disc (just the trailer if memory serves), but a solid anamorphic transfer and better than tolerable 2.0 stereo sound.

I took a chance and bought this movie sight unseen, and I'm very glad I did. It is really a great film in the noir tradition, although it's probably not for everyone, as there are a number of gruesome scenes. There aren't any extras, but the transfer is excellent (Criterion's first anamorphic transfer). If you like dark, hard detective movies, you'll like Insomnia.
