Anyone see this one? I hear the action is awesome; but I also hear that cut out 15 minutes for the US release. Any thoughts?

Blah. Yes, it's censored - they hacked out about 1/4 of the entire movie, taking it down to a snappy 48 minutes or so. Some fans claim that the extra footage was superfluous hentai anyway, and that the film is better off without it. Nevertheless, the censoring has fundamentally changed at least one major plot point and substantially changed the movie.

There's a petition to get the uncensored version released in the U.S. I'd suggest skipping this release and signing the petition.

If you've got a region free DVD player, and a 100 bucks to blow, you can order the TWO DVD SET of Kite (which is uncensored) from CD Japan. Cause everyone knows, the DVD format only holds 30 minutes...

oh man... this is very sweet. must get two disc set..

So what is the important content that was cut out "that would have changed the storyline?" From what it looks like, all they cut out was superfluous and disturbing sex scenes, which is no problem with me.
