While I havent actually watched the film yet, I did watch the extras and it is one title to have. While the retrospetive doc. was only 30 minutes it was good. Also liked the 4 featuretts.

Finally got around to watching it today - I was amazed with the 5.l sound for a film almost 40 years old. Tiomkin's score is great and the explosions and the storm at sea really put you there in the action.

Yes, a very good release for a true classic. And a J. Lee Thompson commentary in addition to the other great stuff. While it wasn't the best one around, with long pauses and the fact that the director obviously had a hard time trying to remember aspects of the production, his decision to provide a track should be applauded- he must be around 85 now.

This is one of my favourite "war" movies. You could almost place the plot in any of the modern wars, just updating the enemies
I gave this DVD to my Dad for his birthday, and I was blown away by the sound. The twist in the plot (No Spoiler) is something that sets it apart from the standard war movie. The trouble is I have to borrow it from my Dad, who wants to borrow my Tora! Tora! Tora!
