It has been awhile since I viewed my wargames dvd but from what I can remember the video and the audio were decent...not top notch by any means but worth the purchase.....not to mention it is another movie from the 80's. I wish the studios would start paying more attention to this era of movies!!!

I'll second that video/audio review, and mention that it has an audio commentary (I didn't listen to all of it, but the speakers don't sound boring and that's a definite plus!)
On a big negative note, the widescreen transfer is NOT anamorphic. I thought the menu design was clever, if simple. There are also production notes and the theatrical trailer. If you really like the movie, then I think you'll be happy with the DVD. It's not packed with special features, but it's better than a lot of the other material MGM's been putting out lately. You might want to check rutger_s' rerelease schedule in the DVDTalk forum too. Hopefully, this title will be revisited like Princess Bride with a 16:9 transfer in the future. <center> ------------------ David, Moderator of the Other Forum I laughed, I cried, my life was changed: The Other Forum My DVDs and HT Email: [email protected] |
It's ok. If you like the film then definitely get it.
