I was thinking about picking this up. I loved it when I was younger. If anyone has this, how does the disc look and sound?

Yep, I am up here on Tatooine, hanging out with Salacious Crumb and listening to my man Max Rebo, getting ready watch the Rancor monster kill some poor soul!

Definitely pick it up! The colors look nice, very little (if any at all) grain, and the audio is crisp and clean. An added bonus of watching this is hearing the words that TBS doesn't allow. (Its the only way that I had ever seen it, missed it by a week in the theater. Ah, adolescence!)
BTW, got my copy from one of the original FamilyBlunder giveaways.

I've read in other places that the "new" DVD version of the movie had almost completely different music than the original! What is with that? Is that true? The music is 1/2 the charm of the movie. One test - when they are all jumping into Grandpa's car, is David Bowies "Young Americans" playing? From what i have read that song, and many others are gone.

I have not seen the DVD, but on VHS Young Americans is missing and many of the other tunes are missing. On The Superstation it plays with the correct music. The studio must have had the broadcast rights but not the home video rights. I do not know the state of the DVD and would be interested to know. Otherwise I'll have to wait untill they do a Fast Times and fix all the music.
BTW, don't you just hate when they cannnot keep the origional soundtrack? It really burns my a$$.

OK, i just busted out the old DVD, and there is no music at all when the pile into the old car (where they find a drunk Long Duck Dong). And Young Americans isn't in the credits either. That may answer a few questions. Also a little more grain in the picture than I had remembered.
