I wanted to make this very same topic, but I figured that I'd just bump up an existing one.

Even if it's...almost four years old, lol.

Seriously, I'd like some reviews for the set if possible. I've never read a single one. Does the set look good? Are there any extras at all on any of the DVDs in the set?

Hey Fellow Puppet Master Fans!! Here are some huge awesome full reviews over at the digital bits!

http://www.thedigitalbits.com/review...etmaster1.html

It's been awhile since I watched them but I think the transfers are from VHS masters or something and the bonus features are good, but I think they are the same that were on the tapes as well.

Thanks, and only four years after the request!

I wonder if Ford Perfect is even still around.

Yes, I'm still around. Hopefully someday soon I will get around to writing my review of Godzilla Against MechaGodzilla, and possibly the Love Hina anime series and OVAs (already watched the series, gotta wait 2 weeks on the OVAs).

Man, did you guys see how OLD this original post was? I was just graduating from college (actually I was on a summer internship) back in mid 2000 when I made this post.

Yes, I did buy the Puppet Master set. PM 1 and 3 are good, PM 4 & 5 are ok, PM 2 is just there, and Curse of the PM sucks terribly as does Retro PM.

Yeah 3 and 1 were my favs too. I didn't have a problem with 2 and wouldn't mind buying all 3 of them if they ever see a proper reissue. Not willing to fork over mass $ though. God it's been so long since I've even seen these but I still remember them plain as day.

I saw one with an alien fighting the puppets - which movie was that? It was so horrible...stopped watching the Puppet Master series after that.

Might have been 4&5 where the totems are sent from that demon guy.

yea 4/5 were the Puppets vs. The Totems. Puppet Master 3 being the debut of Six Shooter, and Puppet Master 5 being the debut of the Decapitron (I think I got that name right). The movie, the Curse of the Puppet Master was horrible. I haven't seen Retro Puppet Master or the Legacy one that was released recently, but I've heard good things about both.

I wish I owned the set
