Anyone have the DVD of "Stalag 17"? I'm looking for a review of the transfer and extras (if any).

It's been awhile but from what I remember the xfer/sound were pretty good considering the age of the film. I also don't recall there being any extras
If you like the movie I would recommend getting it. If you aren't sure or haven't seen it then rent it first and give it spin...

There are no extras whatsoever, unless you consider Chapter Selection an extra. (Not even a trailer.)
The movie has been showing pretty often lately on AMC, so you may be happier with taping it off that channel and waiting until Paramount drops the prices on some of its older titles. (I think the list price on all Paramount DVDs is $30.) Of course, I'm assuming you subscribe to AMC.
Oh yeh. I forgot to mention that the transfer is OK, but not "breathtaking" by any means.
