I enjoyed Casino in the movies and liked it again on DVD. Nothing shocking there. The sad part is that there are no real extras. No audio commentary from Mr. Scorsese. Too bad. But owning on DVD is a great way to watch and learn from Marty's compilicated camera work.

I'm assuming that you're looking for reviews of the transfers/extras, and not the quality of the movies themselves?
In that case....
While there are no extras on "Casino", the transfer is a good one. Some people (myself included) have reported a glitch, causing the picture to freeze up briefly during the layer change, but most have no problem whatsoever.
I have not seen "Metropolis", but I did post a review request for it a while back. Basically, every reply I got said that the transfer is one of the worst around. (Some even said that it looked better on VHS versions.) It was agreed that even though the DVD is pretty cheap, it is still not worth the price.
Hope that helps.

Metropolis does have a bad transfer. The music isn't that bad though. I didn't think I could watch the whole thing after seeing the first minute of the movie, but since it's a good movie I stuck with it and forgot about the transfer. If you like the movie I would say go ahead and get it since it's so cheap.
