I always find Roger Ebert's reviews useful
before making DVD purchases, but his site
is so slow, that I've made a little utility
to save some time.

It's a bookmark utility that runs right
from the browser (in other words, you
don't even have to be at a site, you
just access the bookmark, type in the
movie name, and boom, you'll be taken
to that Ebert review).

Give it a try, I've tested it with Netscape
and Internet Explorer, and it works fine.

Remember, you have to right-click the
link to add the bookmark to your
browser (not the above link).[/b]

Say, this is pretty neat.
I really enjoyed his list of the
Best Films of all time.
I don't agree with all of them, but I do
have about 11 on that list. I finally
read his review for Peeping Tom. I really
enjoyed this one, and bought it sight unseen as well as not knowing what it was all about.
Really a great film and ebert agrees.
Thanks for the link.

Great. Were you able to bookmark that
link OK?

It's a different kind of link, it not only
works when clicked directly, but also right
from the bookmark itself, without even
loading a page!

(Remember to right-click on it to add it.)

This is great! Thanks Michael.

And what's the deal with the Chicago Sun Times anyway? They're like one of the biggest name newspapers in the U.S. and undoubtedly have tons of money. Why the crappy slow-ass web server/connection?

Very cool utility Michael! Thanks!

P.S. I bookmarked it as you instructed, and it launches automatically when I select it from the bookmark list. Nice job!

Great! Glad others found it useful!

NOTE: The older version didn't work
properly in Netscape, and is now fixed.
If you had problems, just re-bookmark and
you're all set!
