Just received and viewed "One-eyed Jacks". Great western starring and directed by Marlon Brando. Karl Malden, Ben Johnson, Slim Pickens round out the cast. Comes in a keep case and was only $6.99 at Reel. I had seen it before but had forgotten how good it is.

Funny thing about that movie. The only reason Brando directed it is because he had a clash with the original director. Who was the original director? Stanley Kubrick.

No offense, the title of this post sounds like a PORN DVD....

The principal drawback of this film is that it is overly long.

Transfer is fine and I didn't notice any digital artifacts. It's really beautiful photography and most of the film was shot along the pacific coast in California. It was a long film, but I certainly didn't find it boring. This is the young, lean Brando.

I enjoyed the movie.

Seriously? You're saying that (I assume) the MADACY version is good? From people's comments on them, I've avoided them like the plague...

I don't have the disc in front of me, so I don't know who puts it out. I'll try to remember to look tonight and post tomorrow.

I've got nothing to gain one way or the other, so please don't buy this film. I'm sure if you wait 5 or 6 years, someone will do a Brando series and you can pay $17.99 for a remastered, audio-enhanced version.

I got the disc for free (including shipping) with trivia bucks. It was definately worth the price. 8^/

No, I was just suprised, I wasn't making fun of you LOL. If it's good, I might consider buying the disc, I like the movie!
