Recently watched this DVD again when my brother was in town and wanted to see it. It's a good teen football movie and although the disc lacks any extras it is 16X9 enhanced with a DD 5.1 soundtrack.

!!1!!!!!!!!!SPOILER WARNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I agree, the movie suprised me by being better than expected and very watchable. I disagree with the 'high points' of Jon Voight and Whipped Cream scene
Jon Voight was a little too over the top and his accent was way off.
Spoiler!!!
The Whipped Cream Bikini: OK, your a 17 year old boy, your hormones are ragin', the FINEST girl in school in naked in front of you wearing whipped cream asking you to lick it off, you've had a drink or two, her parents are away, you've got a toadie little girlfriend who you obviously don't really care about and have little in common with (plus you've already basically broken up), "No, I can't. I just wanna be your friend."
Yeah, right. If anyone knows a guy who this has happened to and he followed suit, please tell me. Just not very believable. (Well, maybe if your James Van der Beek)

ccoolidge - I watched this a while ago so I may be way off in my memory, but I think it was a combination of things that made him say no. He was still trying to work things out with his girlfriend, and he knew that the old QB used to date this girl and he was friend's with the old QB, and he knew that she was in a vulnerable position.
Or he's just a big chicken. One of the two.

I thought the movie was great, for the corny dialogue, and the character named Billy Bob. It's great if you are one to like those teenie-bopper movies like that (who doesn't?)
This movie was being shown every other night on tbs or something like that a week or so ago if I recall. Saw it a few times.. just to hear the previously mentioned dialogue, "I don't want your life" also the classic, "we have the chance to play like gods" haha. Now that's quality.

I ended up watching it on TV a few months ago because there was nothing else on. I was expecting some dumb teen movie, but it ended up actually being pretty damn good. I liked it a lot.
