Has anyone here seen the new version of Pretty Woman that just came out this week? I'd be interested to hear your reviews....how is it different from the previous version that's been out for awhile? Thanks in advance for your reply...

It's the exact same disc with a different cover.

I just watched the 10th Anniversary Special of Pretty Woman and it was wonderful. The video was crisp and clear. The sound 5.1 was marvelous and there were some previously deleted scenes that made the movie even better than before.

It is the same disc as before with a non-anamorphic transfer.

Also, it has an extended cut which I don't think is near as good as the orignal cut.

But it is Pretty Woman and it is on disc.

Hey Breezy_Pete1,
Pretty Woman has great 5.1 sound? It's 2.0 surround. I didn't watch it yet, but I popped it in to check the sound, etc. Why did you think it was 5.1?

Both versions are widescreen non-anamorphic as drak b points out. The 10th Anniversary Special Edition is a director's cut with an 134 minutes runtime. The standard version is 119 minutes runtime. Both are Dolby Digital Surround not 5.1. Also, the anniversary edition contains the original theatrical trailer, a music video of Wild Women Do performed by Natalie Cole and audio commentary.

I've seen several people say that the new version is "same disc, different cover", but the back of the new DVD says that it contains a music video and "b-roll footage". Neither of these supplements are on my older DVD.
