OK Movie, pretty good special effects, (especially the big finale!). Overall I like Volcano better, but both are just ok disaster flicks. Ok to watch but not to own.

I own the DD version of Dante's Peak. I like this movie a lot better than Volcano. The disc includes a nice anamorphic transfer as well as a nice 5.1 soundtrack. It also includes an interesting making of feature. Definite two thumbs up!

I also agree with reliquary and avatar007...Dante's Peak is far superior to Volcano. Having viewed several documentaries of actual volcanic eruptions, I found Dante's Peak to contain realistic and impressive special effects. Transfer and sound quality of this DVD is impressive as well.

I have to agree. This is one of the first dvd's I bought. It has replay value and is a better flick than Volcano.
