I'd appreciate some comments on Mystery Men including movies that you consider comparable. Thanks.

I'd recommend it. I saw it twice in the theater and I'm a huge comic fan, so I had extremely high hopes for this movie. I was slightly disappointed the first time, but Mystery Men was the movie I was looking forward to most this summer, so I kind of expected to be disappointed. Both my wife and I liked it much better the second time and can't wait for it next week. The movie is pretty funny, although it does have some dead spots in it. For $15 pre-order, it's worth it, especially when it can be combined with something else and used with a coupon.

Definitely rent it first. This is one of those movies where people either like it a lot or hate it with a passion.

I thought it was a really funny movie.
I didn't see it in the theater because I thought it looked rather silly, and silly it is! But in a good way. The disc is a keeer. Tons of extras, as least I think so.
Directors commentary which I haven't heard yet but should be pretty interesting.
Deleted scenes were pretty good, I laughed a lot at one of them. Gotta love tacos!
There's a music video in there, of some rap artist so I didn't really watch it, seeing as how I don't really like rap.
Some "On location" extra, which I don't know if it's video or stills, as I didn't watch that yet either.
The Movie itself looks great. The sound was terrific on a 5.1 system, though in once scene, on an outside location, the sound seems to become drowned out, I guess they didn't foley that later on, but that was just in that one scene.
If anything rent this movie, it's worth it.
Free can't be beat either.
Thanks buy.com!!

Got my copy today from Reel... let me watch it and I'll let you know.

I did look at the Extras and they were cool so far... I liked the story of the comic book!
