it's not bad. there are some scenes not on the vhs version that are edited into this one. i don't remember if this is anamorphic, but it's a warner bros. title, and the quality is excellent.
it's a mandatory title in my opinion

Actually, I believe this is the same "unrated" cut that is available on VHS. And if I recall correctly, the unrated cut only added a few seconds to the scene where the girl gets beaten up by the thug.
As for the movie itself, it is an excellent movie. Just about as good as Pulp Fiction and one of the most underappreciated films of the 90s. It's funny, original, exciting, fast-paced, and intelligent.

I'm not sure I'd say the quality is 'excellent' on this disc. It's more like okay. It has the light but persistent blockiness and graininess that many of the early Warner Bros titles have. Not bad, but not fantastic either.

The DVD is nothing special...But the film itself is wonderful. I agree that Gary Oldman is awesome, everyone did well in terms of acting. This is my favorite Patricia Arquette film and my favorite Christian Slater performance. And who can forget the scene with Gary Oldman and Dennis Hopper....Classic Tarantino...

Great flick!!!
The Hopper/ Walken scene was hilarious. My family was originaly from Italy and I got a huge kick out of Hopper's theory.
