I saw this film years ago and liked it. Comments on the DVD?

"Wages of Fear", like Criterion's other Cluzot DVD release, "Diabolique", is essentially just the movie. It is restored and digitally transferred, but there are still a few visible scratches, and the audio, of course, is mono. I'm not sure which version you have seen, but this one is the director's cut, so it's the uncensored release (US theatrical release was cut). Nothing scandalous, just an unflattering portrayal of American oil corporations. If you saw the Home Vision Cinema VHS version, it's the same film. There are no other choices of language, other than to turn English subtitles on or off. I bought it just for the film itself, and I'm happy with it.
