Pushing Tin is both a terrible movie and a terrible dvd.

I like John Cusack and Billy Bob Thornton a great deal and was excited to see this film, but man did this thing blow.

The plot, characters, AND dialogue were terrible.

The dvd is worthless. No features, terrible audio, etc. The review says it has a 5.1 Dolby mix, but it might as well have been mono. Even the audio from the airplane scenes was well below par.

I'm just posting this as a warning.

Yeah, that's one stinker of a movie. Great actors, but not much else. Well, it did have THE most gratuitous breast shot I've ever seen in mainstream film ... and ANGELINA JOLIE no less!

yah, i just rented this dvd from blockbuster today.

aside from angelina jolie's boobies, which are BEAUTIFUL i might add, I did not have any feelings for the characters. Billy Bob is a great actor, but he doesn't fit in this role, imo.
Actually I kept thinking he did a better job playing a crazy nut in slingblade.
John Cusack, i admit is also a great actor, doesn't quite pull off the conflicted borderline-breakdown quack too.

I remembered reading something that this was the same director as 4 weddings & a funeral?

I am glad I did not buy this disc. Boring story, didn't care much for the characters, and a bare-bones non-anamorphic disc.

Ouch! I didn't think it was that bad... I am a big John Cusack fan and also like Thornton... The movie wasn't great but I thought it was entertaining. The disc quality isn't great either but it's far from terrible...Audio was decent with some good effects of planes...

For what it's worth my father (who is a commercial pilot) didn't particularly like the movie and noticed a lot of technical mistakes, but what do you expect? I'd give it a B-.

I saw this one in the theater, and I agree it was dreadful. The only thing I found funny was the scene where Sling Blade...I mean Billy Bob Thornton stands on the runway when the plane takes off over him. Now THAT was funy. Too bad the rest of the movie was crap.
