I am interested in Mysteries of Egypt:IMAX but it is only 40 minutes long and is $21 at REEL before coupon. That seems like allot for a short special. Any reviews would be appreciated

well Jim i got it and am very happy with it ! I bought it as a souvenir since i just returned from my vacation there. This is a very high quality representation. Some insight is given by Mark Lehner and Dr Zahi hawass but they are very brief and short. There are some re-anactments of buriels esp from King Tut, but the best part are those glorious fly by's over the Nile and the Pyramids.

If you like or are interested in Egypt its a must have.
I recommend reading by Graham Hancock- The message of the Sphinx
Or The Orion Mystery, Heavens mirror

Anyway buy and enjoy !
Peter

Wow Peter, I'm jealous, I hope someday to visit Egypt myself. The DVD is great but to actually see the Sphinx and the Pyramids has got to be breathtaking!

Well after buying this DVD I would have to say that what little was there was beautiful. My only complaint is after 37 minutes the credits were rolling. Remove the time the 2 main characters were talking with no other action and you have 30 minutes of actual content. The picture and the sound were gorgeous. But to say it leaves you wanting more is an understatement. The funny part is it has an 18 minute documentary on the making of a 37 minute movie. All in all not bad but be prepared to pay by the minute. It will be handy when I need a good DVD fix and don't have time for a full movie.
