I also pre-ordered it without having seen it first. I've read several reviews on it and it's been about 50/50.
Personally, I love Chow-Yun Fat movies and you can't go wrong with a Platinum Series from New Line.
Also, for the price, it's hard to resist.
There was another thread here a few weeks ago on "The Corruptor" . . . if I find it, I'll bump it up to the top for you pal.

I agree with Needlz. Chow Yun-Fat movies are excellent. Course I dunno about that new version of Anna And The King that's coming out. Love story with Yun-Fat and Jodie Foster - NO THANKS!
Oh and yes I preordered the DVD!

I preordered the Corruptor as well. I used part of a $50 amazon gift certificate, so I essentially got it for free. I don't know how much I'd pay for it though had I not had the certificate. I saw it in the theater and thought it was "pretty good." It's fairly well-done, but formulaic and not particularly original or anything. Some exciting action sequences, better-than-average action-movie acting, and the sound is terrific (1 reason to get it on DVD)It's much better than the Replacement Killers, Chow Yun Fat's previous American effort.
Bottom line: you're not wasting your money, cuz it's a decent flick, but not something you NEED to have in your library.
