I noticed yesterday that Borders had both the original Scream DVD and the Coolecter's series. Both contain the same audio commentary and trailer. I believe it's the same (nonanamophic) transfer. The CS edition was $10 more. It looks like it contains a featurette and cast Q&A (whatever that is), but not much more. Does anyone think there's something better about the Collecter's series that's worth an extra $10?

My understanding is that there is absolutely NO difference between the two versions with the sole exceptions of additional mini-interviews. You are right - they are both nonanamorphic transfers. What is worse- neither is the director's cut, which is still only available on laserdisc! how they can justify the $10 for some trailers is beyond me. As for myself, I am holding out until the director's cut is released. I figure sooner or later they'll have to release it, right?
