What a cool flick! Based on a David Rabe play, a true '90's flick that makes sense out of 90's blabbering AmericanEnglish talk. Sean Penn and Chazz Palminterri are teriffic (as is Kevin Spacey, etc...). It has 2 commentary tracks. Great movie.

I really like "Hurlyburly." I ordered the DVD prior to seeing the movie, and have no regrets. The film itself isn't suited for all tastes, though, because it is basically one hundred percent dialogue. The picture and sound quality of the disc are both first-rate. The director's commentary was kind of boring; I found the second commentary track, about the social themes of the story, to be much more interesting, particuarly the similarities to "Macbeth," as well as Sean Penn's take on things.
