I have both the regular and Criterion versions of Armageddon. I noticed though that the regular version has a trailer that's not found on the Criterion. And I also found that the video quality of the Aerosmith video on the regular version is better than on the Criterion. At the top of the picture, the Criterion version has a lot of noise. Anyone else notice these problems with the Criterion discs?
I was also playing the movies on a DVD-ROM drive, so I don't know if the issue with the music video shows up on a standard player.

Can you give a time for the noise? I havn't watched the video to many times but I did not notice anything.
Give me a time stamp and I will check. I have a pioneer DVD/LD player.

I see the noise throughout the Aerosmith music video, starting from the interview piece.
Not sure if it's because of my DVD-ROM drive. Haven't noticed any problems with other movies.
