Those who love comedy....MAJOR PAYNE...funny to own?

Can anyone comment oh how funny this movie is? Is it a title that is worth owning? I currently have some Jim Carrey dvds and i love comedy. But i am not familar with this title. I also love Universal. Guys....any good?

I haven't seen this on dvd, but I remember it being a fairly funny film. If you like Damon Wayans, you'll probably like Major Payne. I personally wouldn't buy it, but I don't buy that many discs, anyway.

I rented the laserdisc of "Major Payne" a few years ago and thought is was hella funny!!!
I haven't seen the DVD yet, but since it's Universal, it must be pretty good.

Sonic, I liked this one a lot. I wouldn't put it with the best of them, but it is comprable to Bullet Proof, Half Baked, and Sgt. Bilko. It is a great comedy, and Wayans is hilarious. However, I personally wouldn't buy this one. Seeing as it is an aquired taste of comedy you might want to rent it first.
One memorable part of the film is when Wayans character is introduced to his cadets and says "Killin' is my business people, and business is gooood!"

I hope you enjoy the film, Sonic. I haven't seen it on DVD, but rented it when it was first released on video and thought it was very funny.
