I just received this one. I love the movie but wow do the extras suck. In fack they're non-existent. Not even a trailor or bio's. I'm surprised they spent the time slapping together the static menu itself.
One kind thing to offer the DVD is that the subtitles are very easy to read. The text is placed in the bottom black bar instead of over the film. It made watching the film very enjoyable.

It is a great flick, but didn't the transfer suck?! This is the disc I always use as an example of true digital artifacts. What you see on this disc is not improper calibration or otherwise substandard equipment! The blurring of the dresser handles in her room was terrible, and the constant shimmering and "digital-ness" of what could have been an incredibly beautiful scene, the first dinner out, was disappointing.
But the sound was good (DD4.0), and the movie itself is excellent. Plus it should be mentioned that it does have one extremely rare extra - the DD5.1 Egypt trailer. --Jim

Maybe a SE or a Criterion version will soon be made available.
BTW: To fix any shimmering or noticeable artifacts, view the movie on a 27" TV like I do! All your worries will go away.
I should start the I-Just-Graduated-I-Need-A-Job-So-Help-Me-Get-A-Widescreen-TV Fund. Any takers?
