HAS ANYONE GOTTEN ADDICTED TO THE POKEMON SERIES OF DVDS THAT ARE CURRENTLY OUT? KID'S CARTOON OR NOT, THIS IS ONE IMAGINATIVE PIECE OF WORK AND I AM HOOKED!

Does anyone remember that this was the cartoon that sent many kids into hospitals in Japan due to flashing images?

Yes this was that series.
However, in dubbing the series into english, they chose to completely remove that episode from the N.American run. I believe they've also toned down some of the other flashing screens to avoid any ceisures on this side of the Pacific.

So, what's the best Pokemon DVD for an adult to buy as their first introduction to the series?

The best intro would have to be the first disc, which I think is titled "I Choose You, Pikachu!"
Or you could just watch it on TV for free
